so true...it is mechanical and almost rehearsed. It takes the spontaneaty out of it...boring. I have found I can get people to talk...and they never shut up...This is a good technique when first meeting someone...to a point

@TheWaynelds Yeah I hear ya, the only people I really talk to are my co-workers, but it kind of sucks because I can't tell if they like me or just being polite since it's a work place. Not sure why everyone is in such a rush to get married... maybe because of the economy.. a way to feel more financially secure with two incomes. I think finding a hobby/interest is the best route to meet people, for example you could start painting, then you can meet other artists at a art show or something.

yeah. all my friends have gotten married and moved away. Making friends is hard. especially because im shy. but being alone all of the time is BORING!!!!
